March/April Update

I seem to have so little time now to do these updates. My apologies. I started back to work at the beginning of March and life all of a sudden got really busy. I am working Mon/Tues and every other Friday. I am really enjoying being back. Aaron enjoys his daycare two days/week and he also enjoys every second Friday just with dad. So, here are a few pics and videos.

Story time with Gram.

Aaron's first birthday cake. Thanks Aunty Shaun!

He didn't really want to eat any, but he did try a bite.

Someone needs a haircut!

Go Canucks!!!

We love the Tupperware cupboard!

Aaron crawled in there all by himself. We're not too happy about this one!

Enjoying the swings.

Pure Joy!

Learning how to use his walker.

Building his wagon with dad. (wagon a birthday gift from Aunty Peggy, G&G Hunt and G&G Cupples!)

Dad and Aaron do doughnuts down the street.

More of Aaron building his wagon.

Dad and Aaron about to go down a big hill in the wagon. (not really!)

Chillin' in my wagon.

Again, dad tries to go down a big hill in the wagon.

Aaron learning to stand on his own.

First time standing not holding on to anything.

A steam train came through our back yard! It was so exciting. And loud.

January/February Update

All the decorations are down, the tree is gone, the paper all recycled. Now what to do? I know! Let's learn to stand! (and make faces)

Aaron finds the refrigerator fascinating. Good thing it is closed 98% of the day or we would have all kinds of interesting things strewn about.

Aaron likes to stand at the sliding glass doors looking for the kitty. Jazz-Man doesn't care much for Aaron and even seeing him on other side of the glass causes the cat great angst and trepidation.

Aaron discovers asparagus. And loves it. He has a taste for the finer things.

What's this? An apple? That's not mushed up? You actually trust me with this?

Is this how I'm supposed to eat it?

Or like this?

The many faces of Aaron Jesse.

Dad got a package!! I got to help open it! Man, is this what heaven will be like?

Aaron has discovered all kinds of places to crawl under and over. This one in particular ALWAYS results in him getting stuck. If you are to visit, you will notice that these stools are generally stored on top of the counters now.

"Mom had a craving for a grande no fat latte with a half shot of vanilla so I had to go all the way to Starbucks (11 blocks away) and back, looking like this. Mom said that sunglasses are good for my eyes and that I looked cool, so I did keep them on the whole way there and back."

Another one of Aaron's favorite places to stand.

Dana made bread. Although it looks as though someone from "Who-ville" made this. It did taste good!

Aaron enjoys green food. Things could be worse!
Aaron and dad race around the house.

We feel that Aaron will be a very fine orator.

December

(NOTE: The editing on this particular post is terrible. My apologies. Blogger is the WORST when it comes to good formatting, but it does get the job done.)

December was so exciting for the family. Aaron discovered snow and Christmas! He has grown so much and learned so much in just the last month that almost daily we see him do something new and "grown up."

Here are a few of our December adventures.

Aaron visits Santa. He didn't cry, he didn't smile. He just didn't "get" the elf taking his picture.

Mom did some Christmas baking and even made a cookie for Aaron, but he didn't even get a crumb from it!!

Aaron is quite excited for the Olylmpics to come to Vancouver. He's been practicing holding his colored rings in anticipation!

Aaron got a new snowsuit from Grandma and Grandpa Cupples. Of course, with all the snow, we just had to put it on him and get out in all the fluffy white stuff. Seeing Aaron like this brought back some memories of being stuffed into a snowsuit and led outside. You too?

He was very curious about all the white stuff although it kept falling in his eyes which caused severe blinkage!

All of us out in the snow.

Aaron turned 9 months old on December 21. Here's a shot of Aaron at 6 days old and now. Craig just happened to be wearing the same color shirt and it was snowing. Perfect now and then photo opportunity.

Jazz, the Man. He hasn't seen the outside of the house since the first snowflake fell. Mr. Tender Paws.

Aaron's first taste of cabbage rolls.

Aaron tries to escape daily. He knows there are better things downstairs he just can't get there!

He LOVES his book basket. This game takes hours to play. I load up the basket, he unloads. I load it up, he unloads it. Hours. Truly.

I don't know who said kids won't eat broccoli. This kid loves it! Although we do keep finding little broccoli bits in his ear. Oh well.

Craig spent two days of his much deserved holiday in the attic. Before and After. We are toasty now!

And it just keeps snowing.

You can't even tell there are stairs here now, it just looks like a luge run.

Christmas Eve.

Christmas day. Aaron was the happiest all day just playing with the paper.

Our Chipmunk is at it again!
